I got a good sweat and felt like I lifted a good amount of weight! You can control how heavy or light you want to go with the weights. This is one of the few strength-focused classes on Class Pass and I really appreciate being able to go.

He is super positive and supportive and uses affirmation rather than continually saying the same things over and over to command compliance. You will find yourself smiling in his class even if you are clenching your jaw from effort. Great class for beginners or advanced practitioners.

visa alla recensionerI don’t think there’s a way for class passers to enter this gym in the morning since the front desk isn’t staffed before 9a, but I just waited outside in the cold until a nice member let me in. Then, I had no clue where to go. But I saw the instructor walk in (I saw his picture with name on the wall so knew it was him) and followed. The room for rise and grind is to the left. The gym is basic. The actual class was good. We did 4 x 10 of shoulder press & lateral raise, then 4x10 of RDL & rows, then squats & overhead triceps and core. I could have done a similar workout as open gym but really did appreciate the instructor’s personal attention and feedback. He called the group out a bit on the core section and made us repeat some reps - I love that kind of accountability and thought it pushed me harder, but I’ve read enough ClassPass reviews to know some people get really sensitive with that.

I’m noticing one thing I like about CP is the reformer is more comfortable for my feet. There’s a lot more padding. Mia offered lots of modifications which was appreciated, I was able to modify to make some moves harder and others more challenging. I think I will take one more intro class and then try one of their more classic formats!
