see all reviewsThe instructor was great; it would be unfair to give less than 5 stars because she did a wonderful job. However, I really struggle to enjoy Yoga6 in Louisville. I’ve been to Y6 in other states and have loved it. I’m used to attending classes with traditional yoga music, which I find calming and allows me to really focus in on my practice, but this location always plays pop/indie music which is bizarre to me and quite distracting. I also don’t like the bright neon overhead lights glaring into my eyes, but again I’m just used to a dim and calming atmosphere when I attend yoga classes. I love when a yoga studio feels like a calming sanctuary but when I walk in this particular yoga room, everyone’s sitting up chit chatting and I’m the weird one laying down. Regardless, I do come back to this studio occasionally because it’s close to my home but I always leave feeling irritated rather than relaxed and fulfilled. It’s an unusual vibe here in my opinion but really just depends on what you’re used to & what you’re looking for.
