    Y6 Signature Hot

The instructor was great; it would be unfair to give less than 5 stars because she did a wonderful job. However, I really struggle to enjoy Yoga6 in Louisville. I’ve been to Y6 in other states and have loved it. I’m used to attending classes with traditional yoga music, which I find calming and allows me to really focus in on my practice, but this location always plays pop/indie music which is bizarre to me and quite distracting. I also don’t like the bright neon overhead lights glaring into my eyes, but again I’m just used to a dim and calming atmosphere when I attend yoga classes. I love when a yoga studio feels like a calming sanctuary but when I walk in this particular yoga room, everyone’s sitting up chit chatting and I’m the weird one laying down. Regardless, I do come back to this studio occasionally because it’s close to my home but I always leave feeling irritated rather than relaxed and fulfilled. It’s an unusual vibe here in my opinion but really just depends on what you’re used to & what you’re looking for.

    Wall Pilates

First Pilates experience ever and it honestly was such a great experience. Kathy was very welcoming, did an excellent job explaining everything, and created such a positive & light hearted environment for everyone in the class. I will say, it was a surprisingly good workout for how low impact it was. I know I’ll be sore tomorrow. This class is great for all levels. I will definitely be back! Note for other first timers: most folks will take the class barefoot.
