Beginner Ballet
visa alla recensionerVery friendly and sweet teacher. Love the pace of the class. A good combination of barre, guided stretching on the barre and on the floor, and movement across the floor. She packs a lot into one class, which makes it a very good overall training and workout. Would recommend!

visa alla recensionerNina makes mat pilates so much fun and I felt my muscles being activated as much as reformer pilates. She did the reps with students together and was able to give adjustments to those who need. The class is well sequenced and challenging!

visa alla recensionerI feel like this is the type of workout which gets easier as you attend more classes. I had an easier type with the choreography this time. The format is efficient and the class goes by quickly, hitting all body parts. You can also figure out modifications if needed (I have a screw in my foot, so skip the slider ab series and just plank). The studio is very cute and whimsical, which is nice on a Monday morning!

visa alla recensionerReally enjoyed this class, it’s a unique experience. The music was amazing and with the lighting setup it felt very club-like but not in an overwhelming which I enjoyed. The instructor had a great and motivating energy to get you through the workout. Also really appreciate that this studio doesn’t have mirrors in it, helped me be fully present in the workout and not worried about how I rough I look after work haha. Recommend!

visa alla recensionerSo fun and energetic! This class has a lot of reggaeton, Arab pop, and Pitbull! I’m not sure if it’s like that every time with Nadine, but it brought me such a good variety as this was my second time booking a Zumba class at Complete! It was so much fun and brought a renewed energy. Nadine brings such positive energy to the class and keeps you on your toes, making for a great Zumba class!

visa alla recensionerGreat class, I stepped in about two months into the series and could follow the instructor easily. Emma was friendly and precise with instructions. Class wraps up with a group of 3 little solo. Last time I took a ballet class was in middle school, City Ballet is fulfilling my inner child.

visa alla recensionerOur instructor for this class was Anya- she was amazing! She made the class easy to follow and welcoming. However, the way the studio operates does seem a bit disorganized. There was no staff present at the studio to open the doors and the instructor and I both arrived early. The audio equipment was not connected which left us to troubleshoot it for a good 15 minutes so our actual lesson didn’t start until 6:20. After Salsa, the instructor invited me and my friend to stay for bachata even after I explained we were not enrolled in that class but she said we can join anyways if we want, so we did. Two other people were present for the bachata class as well. At the end of class, a man named Michael came in and apologized for the lack of staff and check in. The two other people in the class explained that only one of them signed up and Michael said it was fine because your first class is free. When my friend and I checked off our attendance for Salsa (my friends first time at the studio) he asked why we weren’t signed up for Bachata. We explained the teacher was aware and invited us to join anyways. Michael then said that was “awkward” and that classes are $40. But “I guess it’s fine if she invited you but that’s a bit awkward”. We didn’t feel awkward at all we had fun and felt welcome until he met us with that energy. All of that to say even if you troubleshoot this dance studio’s audio system and get your class cut short they’re still gonna press you for $40 after someone invited you to stay lmao

visa alla recensionerLike Catherine Earnshaw entering Thrushcross Grange for the first time one could not prepare for the wonders and delights of English Country Dance. Like Heathcliff, I had been absent for many months journeying through the lands. My return was met with warm welcome, lively music, and immediate invitations. Wuther you're a novice with a half civilized curiosity about the dance or you're a practiced professional at the Heights of your skill, there is a place for you at CDNY's gathering! Plus it was a few people's birthdays so cake was had by all. Yay!
