    This class is tough and I’m going to be super sore tomorrow. It’s not for beginners but if you’re already somewhat in shape, it’s an awesome workout to add to the mix. Rob is truly flawless as an instructor. He’s friendly and precise and never misses a beat. Gives good adjustments but you should have a decent understanding of Pilates reformer classes before trying this one.

    Top 40 and tabata style class. A far cry from alignment-focused pilates, laughably so. Not my thing at all and definitely not what I was expecting, to be honest I couldn’t have disliked this more. BUT if you like this kind of thing (everyone else in class seemed to love it and it sells out often so there’s definitely an audience for it) then this is the place for you. It’s kind of like bar class meets HIIT. I would return to try one of the heated yoga offerings because the space is decent and well-maintained, and while this particular class didn’t resonate for me, the teacher was great for what it was.

    Overall good exercises and sequence but I wouldve liked it better if Shareal had given more cues about breath or alignment or imagery about how to do the exercises. Just counting (sometimes too quickly for the time it took for some in the class to actually do the exercise) and saying the exercises isnt really teaching. I also wouldve preferred to use the springs on the Cadillac instead of just doing mat exercises for the glute sequence.

Loved the interval style she used today, whereby we did a series of three exercises in a row and then cycled back through them all.     She does such a good job of queues (especially virtually) and really helps everyone focus on their form. I would say I’m an intermediate and while I wasn’t sweaty during this practice, I still really enjoyed it because it helped me ensure my alignment and form was correct and will help my practice long term.
