visa alla recensionerGreat class at a welcoming community-oriented studio. Visiting from out of town, I appreciated the complimentary mat rental (I love B Mat). The teacher, Anisha, had such an inviting disposition and emphasized a connection to our own breath throughout the practice. If I lived here, I would hope to frequent Three Queens as my home studio. Will definitely be back on future travels to Philly!

Their trained facilitators offer a range of workshops on transformative breathwork…Yin plus Sound
visa alla recensionerSam’s Thursday Yin + Sound class at Live in Joy has become one of my favorite parts of my week. I go every Thursday I can, and there’s something about the energy of this class and this space that keeps bringing me back. The studio itself is part of the experience for me — the wooden floors, the Om sign on the wall, the art and statues throughout the room, and especially the way the setting sun pours into the space as we practice. It’s such a beautiful atmosphere to settle into the long, quiet holds of yin and simply be with yourself. Sam creates such a warm, grounded space to slow down, soften, and be present in your body. And then, at the end of the yin practice, comes the sound. By that point the body has already softened and the mind has quieted, and Sam closes the practice with singing bowls, chimes, and the gentle sound of the rain stick. There’s something about receiving all of that sound after the stillness of yin that feels like the perfect completion to the practice. I practice different styles of yoga throughout my week, but Thursday Yin + Sound has its own special place in my routine. It feels less like another class on my schedule and more like a weekly ritual — a place to land, release the week, and come back to myself. I always leave feeling softer, quieter, and more spacious than when I walked in. If you’ve never practiced yin before, this is such a beautiful way to experience it. And if you already love yin, Sam brings something really special to the practice. Give yourself permission to slow down, stay awhile, and experience this class for yourself. 🤍
